Hello, and happy Tuesday to you all! Today feels like a Monday since we were out of school yesterday, hence why I forgot to do this yesterday! :)

There is not a lot of anything new to share this week, except that I will be getting ready to introduce the  All Veterans Tribute Essay contest information later this week.

 

This essay contest is near and dear to my heart, and something I always make sure my kids participate in! I am attaching the flyer below so you can read over the details. I am loving this years theme, as I think it will be a topic my kids can easily write about...(some years the theme has been a little tricky!) Olpe is always well represented in the finalist category (grades 5-12) if you have ever had the opportunity to watch one of the awards ceremonies. This project will be 100% our driving focus in writing over the next few weeks as I want these to be perfect! We will be writing these in class only, and I will do all of the editing and revising of these after they have done it first. We will then type a nice version to email in. This year they will not be having a poster contest due to COVID-19. 

 

I know our kids will do a wonderful job with this, and I look forward to working on it with them every year!
