April 12th-16th

Hello and happy Monday! Just a few things to share this week. I just got word that we are allowed one in town (Emporia) field trip!! We will be going with 4th grade and 6th grade. At the moment we are thinking about spending half the day bowling and half the day at B&B theaters to watch a movie.

While I am thrilled we get the opportunity to take the kids somewhere, I am also bummed to not be able to take the kids to Camp Wood. That is always a favorite of the kids every year. Hopefully we will be able to take them next year though! I will have more details on this later, as we may be asking parents to send 2-3 dollars for concession stand treats at the movies.

We will also be having a kickoff assembly for state assessments on Friday morning. This is something fun the primary grades and the high school STUCO members do for our 3rd-6th grade students every year. It is always a great way to kick off assessments!

My intern and I have been taking data from our Spring predictive interim assessment to form groups for our guided reading centers during MTSS. Last week I worked with them on sensory details and she worked on formatting titles. This week she will work on central ideas and I will work on using perfect verb tenses. There were just a few areas we needed to clean up before testing.

I think that is about all for this week! Have a wonderful week!
