We are almost to the home stretch! This will be our last week working out of our Journeys book! that means our last spelling/Journeys test for the year!

 

This week we will also start our state assessments. They will be testing today for Math, tomorrow for Language Arts, and Thursday again for math. These will all be in the mornings. Either at 8:30 or 9:30. they will finish their second Language arts test next Tuesday. Please make sure your student is charging their ipad EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT as this is what they will take their test on.

A letter should have made it home yesterday about our field trip! If we could have the $10.00 collected by Monday May 3rd that would be great! Unfortunately parents are not allowed to attend this trip do to covid restrictions.

Looking ahead to next week.....My student teacher will be done with her full time teach this week, and I am going to try and squeeze in one more novel unit with them before school is out! We will be reading Woodsong by Gary Paulsen. This is a shorter novel, so we should be able to finish it and get in some good quality instruction. The kids will love this book!

One last thing. If you have not sent your letters of encouragement to me for your student to open on testing day--tomorrow and Tuesday of next week--please do so before tomorrow!! I know they will LOVE to read these before they start their test! Thank you in advance to those who have sent them in!!
