It's Almost Thanksgiving!! This update will serve for this week, and our two days next week! So, I will not be posting an update next week.

Change of plans for next week. Mrs. Whitcomb and I started to get really nervous thinking about having kids help cook in the kitchen on Tuesday of next week for our Thanksgiving meal. With the Covid numbers being so high right now, it just did not seem safe. The last thing I want is for someone to get sick before the holidays. Instead we will embrace "Pilgrims, Pizza & Pie" day! Each kid will get their own personal pan pizza, a mini pie and pop for lunch as a gift from us, and a way to celebrate a Thanksgiving meal together. This felt like a much safer option!!

Our Social Studies projects are coming right along, and I am so excited to share them with you. On that note, I just wanted to mention you may not see many grades posted in Social Studies for the next few weeks while we work on our project. They will get one final grade when we are done.

Today the kids voted to take their 60 day quiz next Monday since the 60th day falls this Friday. Please remind them to be looking these over! 

 

Last week on Veterans Day we we took a field trip to the new Veterans memorial in Olpe during Social Studies. The kids had such a good time looking for family names and sketching over them for a keepsake!

 

I hope you all have the BEST Thanksgiving with your families. I am so very thankful for these kids I get to spend my days with. They make coming to work so fun and enjoyable everyday!
