Happy Tuesday, and how about them Chieeeeeefs!! :)

 

First things first, we have a couple of new additions to our classroom I that I forgot to mention last week! Ashton Vogts has returned and will be joining our class for the remainder of the year. The kids were excited to have her back!

 

We also have a block 3 intern from ESU that will be joining us. She will be with me from now until the beginning of May. Ms. Richmond is from Marion Ks, and has already proven herself to be a wonderful addition to our room. She will gradually start to take on a few subjects at a time for me. We are lucky to have her at OES!!

Next Friday is our 100th day celebration. I am in need of some Scrabble boards, for our Scrabble tournament we will be having that morning. If any of you have a Scrabble board game at your house that we could borrow I would really appreciate it! Please just put your name on it somewhere so I can get the right game board back to you! I will be emailing out an electronic flyer of the events that will be going on next Friday and what your student will need to bring. I will also be sending home a hard copy as well! One other important item to note...We will be taking our last and final 100th day quiz next Thursday.

We will finish our novel unit this Friday, and will return to our Journeys book on Monday. The students will have spelling words and will take their Spelling test and Journeys test on Thursday of next week due to our 100th day celebration on Friday. We are on lesson 14, and those spelling words are listed here on the site under the resources tab, if your student forgets to bring them home! So are all of the word of the day words!

Also, a note regrading parent teacher conferences will be going home this week as well. Please return those when you can.
