Meet the Teacher
Hello! My name is Amy Coffman and this is my 16th year teaching, and my eighth year at OES! I spent 7 years teaching 6th grade at Lowther North Intermediate School in Emporia, and 1 year teaching 5th grade at Walnut Elementary. I was born and raised in Olpe and graduated from Olpe in 1999. I attended Emporia State University where I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. In 2010 I graduated with my Masters degree in School Counseling.
I have been married to my husband Andy for 14 years and we have identical twin daughters, Mae & Sophie who just turned 9 and are second graders at Olpe. We also have a 5 (almost 6 year old) little girl name Charlie who kind of rules the roost at our house! She will also be a Kindergartner at Olpe. It has been so fun to have all 3 of my girls with me where I work everyday! The girls and Andy are my whole world!! In my free time I enjoy working on projects and making things for school! I love teaching, it is my passion. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to teach back in my hometown where my heart has always been. I look forward to working with your child and watching them learn and grow over the next year.
